Kristi and Rebecca have teamed up for another wonderful photography challenge. Check it out, participate, link up, and meet some talented photographer/blogger types. I always learn a ton when I participate in these challenges. Last week’s theme was black/shadows.
I took a stroll through the garden during the golden hour for some inspiration. Here is what I came up with.
I’m fortunate to be in England during this time of the year. I had a hard time finding motivation last year in Ithaca. Although the weather was uncharacteristically mild last there was nothing living or pretty to shoot near me besides my sweet little kids. It’s nice to be able to step in to the backyard and head to a gorgeous garden for inspiration and practice.
I’m getting spoiled here.
The theme for this weeks iheartfaces photo challenge is: enjoying life.
Cameron enjoys almost everything, especially creative graffiti.
Buttermilk Falls State Park in Ithaca, New York is lovely. The waterfall is gorgeous and the higher up you hike the prettier the view gets. A Cornell classmate of my husband’s bid and won a mini session with me at the Johnson School Annual Charity auction. He and his wife wanted the photographs as a reminder of their time in Ithaca. Graduation time was near and the couple was getting ready to move.
The sun was setting and the weather was perfect.
I had a great time photographing them and wishing them well on their post Cornell journey. They’re wonderful people and have a beautiful future ahead of them.
Thank you both so much for working with me.
