Unconventional Milestone: 1st time playing miniature golf

I’m still sifting through the photos from our recent travels. I was super excited to edit this batch. The kids played their first game of miniature golf with their grandparents when we visited Lake Placid, New York.

Cameron & Preston had a blast but I think I enjoyed myself more. Miniature golf is okay but add two toddlers and a camera and it’s much better.

What’s your favorite unconventional milestone?

  1. Beautiful pictures! I prefer the unconventional milestones: first ice cream, first fireworks, first pigtails. I think they are more memorable because there are no pressures associated with them! You read about “first steps” or something else and you immediately begin to think about your own child and try to line him or her up with the other parent. With unconventional milestones, they are purely about your own joy.

  3. Your kids are too much. They look like such characters.
I would have to say my favorite unconventional milestone was the first time my daughter quoted a movie. *sniff* Brought a tear to my eye to hear her tell me that the first rule of Fight Club was that we don’t talk about Fight Club.
