How Social Media Has Changed My Life

Thank you to BING Social Search for sponsoring my post about social media. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Social media has the power to affect one in a variety of manners. It is up to the individual. Some use social media to amplify their causes and others to promote their businesses. That is part of the beauty of social media. It is a vast and limitless tool that can take you wherever you want it to. If used correctly social media has the power to change lives. It has definitely changed mine.

Friends I have met through various social media channels including blogging have supported me during some of the most difficult phases of my life. I used to think "Internet people" were weirdos but then I realized something: people in real life are weirdos! Maybe the internet is where everyone else can be found. I was right, for the most part, there are some internet weirdos out there that think petite lap giraffes are real.

Geographical limitations unfortunately prevent us from encountering the very people we need the most in our lives. I have met amazing people from all over the world on Twitter. Smart, interesting, and funny people I would otherwise have never been fortunate enough to converse with. I am grateful for each friend I have made.

I started blogging almost a year ago and continue to be amazed at the fabulous people I meet and the opportunities that have been presented to me. I love working with brands that I believe in and promoting products that I truly enjoy. I have always been a vocal consumer and am always receptive to using my blog as a platform to amplify brands and companies that I am passionate about. My experiences with social media have been largely positive and I am thankful.

I love social media. Can you tell? : )
