Giving back with natural products. #CrystalRollOn

This is the time of year to step up one's giving back game. I do my part all year but the holidays are a great time to let our neighbors know we are thinking of them. I was excited to participate in this opportunity because it reminded me of the mornings I spent volunteering at a homeless shelter in Boston before work. I haven't done any regular volunteer work since my oldest child was born. I wanted to give back in a way that was familiar to me.

I remember the lists the shelter used to hand out around the holidays listing possible donation suggestions. Many shelters could use personal care and hygiene items especially around the holidays. I decided to buy some sticks of Crystal deodorant and make a donation to a local shelter.

I headed to Walmart with my family for a quick shopping trip, picked up some Crystal deodorant, assorted soaps, shampoos, lotions, and some gift bag supplies. We then headed to our church's donation center.

I brought Pweezy with me even though he is a little young to understand but he has a good memory so I hope the lesson sticks with him. Our church was the perfect place to donate since Pweezy is familiar with the staff and space. Giving time, money, and anything else within our means is important and the least we can do. I hope the lesson sticks.
