Hooray for Grandma

My mom is here and I wish I could keep her forever. We are running her ragged but having a fantastic time in the process. After landing in Indianapolis we brough her to one of our favorite spots - The Children's Museum. She watched the kids that night while my husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a nice dinner. We took her to our favorite Mexican restaurant and playgrounds on Saturday. She stayed with the kids late Saturday night for a few hours while my husband and I had too many a few drinks.

Sunday we showed her all the neighborhoods we have fallen in love with and are considering when if this becomes our new home. Oh, and we did some shopping. I got new sunglasses which I am super psyched about because I hate having to do my eye makeup to hide my weary looking eyes. New, giant, face covering sunglasses!

I have to admit that I had some pretty lofty aspirations for her visit. I was SURE I would get so much done. Not so much. My mom is trying to help me night wean Cameron which is going the same way it has been for month - not good. We aren't sleeping much and I am pretty much behind everything. Still.

I have a session to edit, some writing to do, and a million other things I would love to get taken care of. It may never happen. The kids command most of my time and although my husband is around on weekends I prefer to spend that time hanging out as a family. I'm going to take advantage of my mom's brief time here but I'm not going to beat myself up if it isn't all done.

There are only so many hours in the day and children are little only once.

But for now

Hooray for Grandma! (who as I type this is in the living room with the kids being forced to draw train whistles and read Llama Llama repeatedly).
