My baby girl is eleven months old.
I cannot believe my little sweetie pie Cmoney is eleven months old. The past two years have been such a whirlwind. Cmoney is doing very well. She is beautiful, chubby, and getting into everything. Here are the eleven month Babycenter milestones. Let's see how she stacks up:
Mastered Skills (most kids can do)
Says "mama" or "dada" to the correct parent Plays patty-cake and peek-a-boo Stands alone for a couple of seconds Cruises
She does all the above and is impossibly cute while doing it. Cmoney adores her Dada and looks for him first thing in the morning. Sadly she says Mama most often when she is angry : )
Cmoney took ONE unassisted step while at Blogher but has not done so since then. She will stand alone for a few seconds and then totally freak out when she realizes she isn't hanging off my leg monkey style.
Cruises? She is a scary fast cruiser and crawler. She could be at the opposite end of the apartment and if you open the fridge she will magically appear at your feet with the snap of a finger. It is kind of creepy.
Emerging Skills (half of kids can do)
Understands "no" and simple instructions Puts objects into a container
She definitely understands the word and concept of no but she could not care less. Cmoney will stop what she is doing when you say no but then she will flash you the world's biggest smile, show off her dimples, and go right back to rifling through the refrigerator hunting for whipped cream.
I don't know if she puts objects into containers yet. I hope she starts soon because I could really use an extra set of hands to pick up around here. A little baby housekeeper would be the cutest.
Advanced Skills (a few kids can do)
Says one word besides "mama" or "dada" Stoops from standing position
Cmoney says a handful of words. She mutters "what's that?" often and says "hat" and puts the nearest object on her head. She has always been very vocal.
As for stooping I have no idea what that means so I am going to go with no. She is not doing that yet but you should see her dance! I love her dancing. She sways from side to side and shakes her tiny butt and it is the cutest thing ever.
Note: Cmoney is almost a year old and doesn't have any teeth. It is wild. She finally has one tiny little lower tooth popping through. I am in no rush for her to grow up but I will definitely be happy when she is no longer in teething pain.
Cmoney is still exclusively breast-fed but is extremely interested in solid food. I give her a bit of whatever her brother is eating. If I neglect to do so she will tackle him and steal his food in a heartbeat.
I am happy to report that the marshmallow princess is doing a-okay.
