my peaceful place

It is no secret that I love Vermont. I miss it daily. The photograph below is of Shelburne, Vermont.

I chose this image as my entry for the Poetic Winter Challenge. This week's theme is solitude. Something I had always taken for granted in my child free years. Lately I am desperately craving alone time. Probably because it is out of my reach for the near future.

This photo was taken while my daughter napped in the car behind me and my son and husband played at the playground beside me. Far from complete solitude but it was enough for me. For now.
