Pweezy Celebrates 2nd Birthday with Thomas the Tank Engine

I have no idea when Pweezy's interest in Thomas the Tank Engine began. I asked him whether he wanted a Thomas or outer space themed birthday party and he responded: THOMAS! I do not think he even knew what a party was at the time but he was so confident in his delivery how could I refuse?

As always things did not go exactly according to plan. My husband had to drive to NYC at the last minute for a networking event which meant that I had to watch the kids and prepare for the party alone. My sister flew in and was definitely helpful but there is only so much you can do when it is over 100 degrees outside and you have two active children cooped up inside for days. I didn't get too much sleep the night before and neither did my husband since he crashed on his sister's couch after the event. He then woke up early Saturday morning and drove over three hours to get home.

Party planning on a student's budget is challenging and obviously there are space constraints as well since we live in student housing. We did the best we could given our circumstances and Pweezy was ecstatic. He was sound asleep on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. when his party was scheduled to begin. At around 2:30 he awoke and his father and godfather brought him over to the Thomas the Tank Engine decorated community center where we waited patiently for the birthday boy.

Pweezy walked in and his already humongous eyes grow even larger. He looked around and whispered to me "Thomas? Thomas! Thomasssssss!!!". He was so happy to see the smiling faces, desserts, and fun that awaited him.

Party Resources:

Deformed cake pops by me, train cookies by my sister Vanessa, and cupcakes by Wegman's.

The Thomas on a Stick masks are by Maro Designs. They offer many awesome photography props and I will definitely be ordering from them again. I was very impressed with the quality of the masks.

Thomas favor boxes are by Mani & Me. The pictures do not do them justice. They are beautiful. I can't wait to order more for Cmoney's birthday in September.

Thomas bracelets and necklaces are by Meme52. Fantastic and stylish party favors. I am still wearing mine.

Happy Birthday Pweezy!
